Using butyl acrylate, styrene, hydroxylethyl methacrylate and acrylic acid as comonomers, emulsions containing high hydroxyl content and having core-shell structure were synthesized from semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization methods. Emulsifier types and levels, reaction temperature, core composite, weight percent of core on stability of the emulsion polymerizations were investigated. It was found that when mixed emulsifiers SDS/OP were used, at a level of 1
